Oh, so they don't just strut around like that all of the time? Wow. I had no idea. We have no such bird in the wild here in Australia. |

From a technical POV I am 100% with Jim's edit. Loads to look at with this image but I find it a bit too busy in its entirety. Well done on your exposure as it is spot on :) |

Having never seen any landscape remotely like this ever before I cannot even understand what I am looking at. I have no suggestions at all. Looks like a great place to visit and I feel like I am waiting for dinosaurs to come into the frame. :) |

I love your edit Jim. I love the connection with the humans and by keeping both of the tracks obvious one tends to wonder which way the train will be travelling on the other line. Nice work :) |

I love this image Victor! It is asks so many questions. If this was a poster in a waiting room I would happily spend my time pondering the many questions this images asks. |

I am not a fan of the sepia. Do you know what I really would like to see? I would love to see a shot taken from closer to the ground so that the turkeys head was then featured in front of a crown halo of the tail feathers. Looks like I have just set you a challenge Allen :) |

I never thought of Star Wars but yes that would also work. Thanks for backing up my decision to flip it :) |

Thanks Victor. I will have another go at darkening the head a little bit more. I had to decide which way I was going to go when I took the shot as it was in full sunlight. I needed enough light to show the darker feathers and in turn maybe sacrificed a little bit of blown out white. |

Thanks Henry :) . I see exactly where you are coming from. My first thought was the Elizabethan collar that was favoured many many years ago. I did darken the head a tad. I will just try it one more time.

Wowsers Jim!! This is a terrific image! I love that you can see both the driver and the engineer(?) so clearly. Does your high resolution image include the moire/banding at the top. It is very visible in this very low res copy. If, this were my image and, if I was proficient in PS I would actually like to add more fog or make the fog thicker.
But, this is still a cracking great shot and hats off to you. :)

Oh most definitely designer breeding. I was mortified when I saw other show pigeons. Some required hand feeding mush as their beaks and faces were so bizarrely shaped. This pigeon was just a fancy one akin to a little fluffy chicken that can still look after itself. |
