And you would be very welcome! Though atm Australia is in the grip of a 3 year long general drought. It has been 8 years since it has rained in the outback. It is just dust, dust and more dust. New Zealand however is just beautiful any time of the year.
Travel tip no 1. Book a good seat and take a sleeping tablet. :) |

You will love NZ Jim!!! It is a beautiful country and a landscapers paradise. Obviously I am not a landscaper . hahahaha. Lake Wanaka is very close to Queenstown though the tree is very underwhelming until you compose a shot. We hired a 4x4 and traversed the majority south island. The Kiwis are very very friendly and hospitable. Enjoy your trip :) |

Hi Jyoti, I agree with Jim in the rationale that this image is confusing. I would love to see the actual mountains and that magnificent waterfall being featured. I have just cropped and rotated your image as an example of what I would love to see. I hope my edit loads as it has only been done on my phone as I am travelling at the moment.
I feel that you have done what I did in trying to create a different image of what may be a familiar sight to some and to put your own take on it in my submission this month. I hope I am not being to confusing in my comments. |

Such a truly lovely image Jim! I really think I need a converted camera like yours!! This image is so wonderful in its clarity and tonality. I have been away for a while and won't have access to my computer until late next week but I have an edit in mind ( just to satisfy my curiosity) that involves cropping out the shadows on the right and flipping but alas my phone won't let me do that.
Congratulations on such a strong image :) |

Such a wonderful edit! The flower looks crunchy and invites one to have a closer inspection. I really like the angles and sharp edges. Great work! |

I agree with both Jim and Allen's comments. The texture that is evident in your mono conversion is beautiful as it invites one to want to touch the image with its tactile nature. Well done! |

I won't be giving up on all of my images, just this set from Wanaka :) The weather was against me and I just have to accept it. I have plenty more exciting images to work on. Thanks for taking your time to edit my image and I must say it does look rather lovely! |

Thanks Jim. I kinda knew I butchered it. Now looking at it, I seriously did a massacre on it. I might just file this exercise to the bin and once and for all give up on the images that I have. :)
Google images for Wanaka Tree , Wanaka, New Zealand and you will see what I mean. |
