34 Jan 25 Reply No it's not a composite. I did not add anything but I softened parts of the foreground and the background to make it mesmerized. Lumenzia seems complicated in the beginning. Greg Benz is a genius. His tutorials was overly complex to me. I found a simple way to use the tool by intensively using wide zone picker then adjust the mask to my wish. It works fine and really fun. Please review the Before and After applying mesmerizing effects look. Jan 23rd
34 Jan 25 Comment Hi Mike. You created and Jan improved it. I learned the thinking process between Mike and Jan. Thanks guys. Jan 23rd
34 Jan 25 Comment Hi Jan. It's Jan Handman Fantasy Land. It's your dream. It's your fantasy. It's spectacular. I love the mood. Dreamy and mesmerizing. A complete fine work to me! Jan 23rd
34 Jan 25 Comment Hi Steve. I am glad to see you come back with a fresh creation. You asked ... Surreal vs. Psychedelic: Which do you prefer? I like them both especially how you put it side by side. Jan 23rd
34 Jan 25 Comment Hi Gunter. I only have one comment! Your work is really beyond imagination. I always wait for your coming creations. Jan 23rd
34 Jan 25 Comment Hi Candy. I review your original and your creation. I really appreciate your imagination. To me, imagination is the most important part in creative works. Jan 23rd
34 Jan 25 Reply Thanks for your questions. Please refer to my answer to Jan Handman. Jan 23rd
34 Jan 25 Reply Hi Jan, thanks for your corrections and interest to my composite works. I did all of my basic adjustments in LR. Then compose them into layers in PS. To me, Adobe LR & PS are not only powerful but they have many experts and users with tons of tutorials and shares that I could refer any time when I need it. I could almost find any answers to my need not just in 'creatives' but also another kind of altered reality. If you have time please review how I make mesmerizing foreground mood to my nature image in DDG group 90 this month. The most important tool, to me, is a Luminosity Mask. A PS plug-in developed by Greg Benz called Lumenzia. It helps me make smooth transition in selective adjustments as well as seamless edges between layers. Jan 23rd
34 Jan 25 Reply Hi Mike. Thanks for your encouraging words. I took it from another series of my shots. Jan 10th

70 Jan 25 Reply Hi Bev. Thanks for your comments. As a humble visitor mostly we depend so much on the mercy of the local lighting conditions. Most likely, I did in post. Jan 23rd
70 Jan 25 Comment Hi Kathryn. It's a nice shot and a nice story-telling image. You came when the sun is already high. Indeed, it was not the best time of the day for photography. You asked ... what you could do to make this more interesting ... I face the same situations with many of my images ... Sometimes I apply a bit of dodging and burning to images that I like so much. Most of it I leave as it is. Jan 23rd
70 Jan 25 Comment Hi Tami. It's a nice capture. The post tend to HD look in my monitor. I agree with Pierre editing. Many of my edit results were not as the real scene. I tend to make it more beautiful than the the original scene. But it is so much of a personal taste. Jan 23rd
70 Jan 25 Comment Hi Kirk. There are two sites to see Great Wall from Beijing. Mutianyu and Badaling. I visited Badaling. Obviously, Mutianyu has better point of view. Like you, I came early in the morning for less visitors. I like your image. It's clear from front to back with a nice leading lines. Jan 6th
70 Jan 25 Reply Hi Pierre. I know what are you trying to show to us as viewers. A cold and gloomy atmosphere. Your updated crop, indeed, give more punch to the whole scene. Jan 6th
70 Jan 25 Comment Hi Geoff. This a memorable and beautiful picture. I like how you include some of the guess dinner tables. It add nice atmosphere of the dinner show vibes. I would not change any thing. Jan 6th

90 Jan 25 Reply Hi Howard. Thanks your kind words. This is one of the endemic bird in Indonesia. The male is more colorful that the female. I apply selective blur to the foreground and background to make it more dynamic. Jan 23rd

90 Jan 25 Comment Hi Howard. Welcome to DD90. This image as well other images in you your bio make me really happy to have you in the group. It's an amazing image. The eye, the fine details and it's finishing touch. I agree with Janet's comments. My eyes want to see a bit more space to the left, top and right of the frame. To make more room to breathe. But it's only a humble personal preference. Otherwise, it's an excellent shot! Jan 23rd
