Hi Mike. What a lovely Grandpa loves his grand son. I really appreciate the idea. Nice arrangement. I like how you placed the birds. My only comment is improving little imperfections on James right hand and right feed. Nice Work. |

Hi Jan. What an awesome creation. It reminds of art shops in Laguna Beach (California) last month. I imagine this creation should be in one of the art shop collections there. Marvelous work. I will not touch your design. Excellent piece of art! |

Hi Steve. It's really awesome creation to me. I just love how how you combine colorful elements into their position. What I like the most is how you positioned smooth globe against sharp and texturized midground and foreground. No complain :). Good job Steve. |

Hi Steve. Happy New Year to you too. I hope this will be a healthy and prosperous year for you and your wife. The old and new theme is quiet obvious here. I imagine it would be a good idea to limit elements. IMHO, its a bit too crowd. |

Hi Gunter. What an awesome creation. I really have no comments to the final product. Your creativity is just beyond my imagination. I am not surprised when Jan announced one of your creations is in this month show case. Congratulation Gunter. |

Hi Jan. Thanks your kind words. You are right. Integrating the Aurora to the existing sky is a bit tricky here. It only works with luminosity mask for smooth and seamless transition. |

Hi Tami. I think you have chosen right camera settings and positioned your self for nice angle and frame. The scene is really nice and soothing. I did a bit of dodging and burning to make more appealing and reduce the sky. I hope you like it. |

Hi Kirk. I like the composition and how you include tree brunches to create a bit of foreground and frame for empty sky in the left. It's sharp from from to end. The foreground is a bit over exposed to me. Professional photographer might use ND or graduated ND filter for this case. I would use graduated mask in LR. I saw some clipped spots at the foreground and the only solution is to clone it by selecting the clipped area with luminosity mask.

I agree with Pierre and Stefan. It's a nice shot. Good timing and good post editing. The challenge here. It would look more alive when someone could be some where there to help the viewer understand the scale of the arch. I know it's not always applicable especially when we are shooting solitaire. |

Hi Geoff. I might have different opinion. I like the saturation and the way you dodge and burn the foreground. It's dramatic. I did not even see any halo between contrasty rock with bright sky. It's really fine editing. The sky are is a bit too much to me. I wonder if you would crop it a bit to make more balance. |

Hi Stefan. It's an appropriate angle although my eyes are curious what's in the right of the buildings. I have no objection to make it monochrome. I would, however, twig its tonality to make it soft but partially make some parts more crispy. |

Hi Pierre. I love how you place two people and dog. It helps viewers to understand the scale of the scene. Landscape look more alive when it includes people. I love editing pictures to enhance it. In this case, I might want to make the path and the people a bit brighter than it's surrounding to make them more obvious. It's only a personal taste. |

Hi Pierre. Thanks for your comments and suggestion. Your eyes are really sharp. The foreground part is a result of AI generative fill to replace the road asphalt. :) |

Yes. This much more look natural. Normally, I would do partial contrast adjustment on my subject. Then, create a bit of vignette to dim out it's surrounding. Excellent touch up. |

Hi Jack. It's a nice shot and I like the composition. My suggestion is to desaturate the green leaf and make it a bit darker to make the butterfly more outstanding. |

Hi LC. You are lucky to get this cute animal. I traveled to Sulawesi frequently but I never get a chance to shoot this cute endemic animal in Sulawesi. The white spots in the eyes are distracting to me. I would carefully clone it softly using luminosity mask. |

I love the side light with it's shadow. I feel the empty space between horses is a bit too wide in the composition. But, it's only a personal taste. Nice work. |

Hi jack. Thanks for your comments. Just to clarify your discussion with Ginny. Nature Plus. Instead of the restrictive PSA rules presenting nature, these images of animals, flowers, and other images from the natural world may show the "hand of man." Hybrid plants, animals at zoos and game farms, nature scenes with a fence, and other images not allowed in the Nature Division can be presented in this group with as much editing as one wishes, no restrictions, as long as the theme is of nature. |
