Wow. Grace would appreciate when she grew up knowing how grandpa create many pictures for her. I am so much like you to my grand children. If I were to make the same. I would make Grace more outstanding among the background. Make her mor vivid and colorful and less saturate background. But as I said. Art is so much of a taste. I might steal your idea shamelessly Mike. :) |

Hi Jan. I know this is a group discussion about photography. To me, art is subjective. It's a personal preference. I can feel how you enjoy your time when creating this image. I do appreciate the thinking process behind this creation. Job well done. Happy holiday to you and Steve. |

Hi Candy. What amazing creation. I know it's unusual to have fire dancer perform in a canoe. But, I am with you. Make unusual thing with composite. Like my composite of fabric dancer in the middle of busy night traffic. :) |

Don't worry Tammy. You are not alone. I took me a while learning LR and PS. The only secret is keep practicing it. Happy editing. |

Hi Kirk. You make it right with f/8. Appropriately crop and I especially like vivid sky and backlight behind the arc. To me, it's an excellent image from start to finish. No complain, no suggestion. :) |

Hi Kathryn. Excellent shot. Nice cropping. The curvy river is an excellent focal pint to me. I did a bit of partial contrast to certain area to make more appealing. |

Hi Geoff. I agree with the group opinions here. It's a superb story telling image. It was all sported by fine cropping. I did a bit of dodging and burning to make it more dramatic. I hope you don't mind. |

Hi Stefaan. Kirk said: I had to study it a bit to understand what I was looking at. I agree with him because it's a typical busy pier scenery. I darkened the sky and 'add' a bit of clouds. I hope the viewer eyes goes to the highlighted building at middle right. It create the scene focal point here. It's just a two cent suggestion. I hope you don't mind. |

Hi Pierre. I agree with every body else in this group. The strong vocal point here is the leading lines that makes every body wants to see what is at the end of the path. I found denoise AI in lightroom is one of the best noise reduction tools nowadays. The only downside it takes about 5-10 minutes to process it online. I am quiet confidence to use ISO up to 6400+. |

Hi Tami. Like Pierre, the unique things here is the moon partially cover by clouds. The group discussed about building sharpness. IMHO. Tripod is a compulsory here. Normally, I would set f/8 or 11 at my lens sweet spot. Always shoot in RAW. Deconvolution is one of the basic techniques to improve image quality sharpness. Composition wise, I would normally include the street and crop into landscape or possibly panoramic. It is very normal to get a bit of over exposure in certain area like the building tower. In this case we could partially adjust the brightness and contrast of this area. All can be done in Lightroom. |

Hi Dan. I like the composition. But agree with our group opinions here about making the animals more obvious. I like your corrections by applying radial mask and adjust the background a bit darker. I nounally apply a bit of background desaturation for this case. Job well done Dan. |

HI Jack. What a coincident. We both posted dragon fly this month. This dragon fly color is really complementing. Blue, green in yellow background. I did a bit of fine adjustment removing the wings imperfections (white spots) and partially increase contrast of the wings. I hope you don't mind. |
