Hi Mike. Nice creations. I like how you randomly combine the stems. One would not know if it was from the same flower. The red and white frames give significant value to the overall designs. Good job Mike. |

Hi Jan. I appreciate how you enjoy your time to create this art. Awesome work Jan. By the way, I can not open your website. A pop up note appeared. Check if there is a typo in janhandmanphotography.com |

Hi Steve. I learned the word psychedelic from you. I saw some creations like trippy, abstracts and aesthetic psychedelic. Just wondering if you have those kind of creations. |

Hi Candy, thanks for nice comments. I listened to every body suggestions for allowing a bit of foot prints to make more realistic and story telling. |

Hi Gunter. My only comment is ... wow ... I like so much how you create the glass rims with your original textures. Any suggestions? No. To me, this was a delicate piece of art. |

Hi Steve. I am glad your father used to live in Yogyakarta. You give a lesson to learn. I should not clean the footprints. Thanks for your kind words and suggestion. |

Hi Stefaan. I used to be keen in photo salons/circuits. Like you, I got many accepted (and HMs) but not awards. I took PSA on line course on 'how to win photo competitions'. My senior PSA mentor said. Regardless of the juror, there is always some personal preference involved. No one can be completely objective. So, rather than following costly photo circuits, now, I prefer this kind of digital dialogs. |

Hi Kirk, thanks for your genuine opinions. This was a candid scenery. There are a lot of imperfections to this old image taken by old point and shoot camera. Some can be corrected in PS but some can not. I agree with you. I don't personally like very smooth water fall. It lost it's dynamic. Like Pierre, I normally combine several shots to get the smoothness I want. |

Hi Kirk. I really appreciate your time and efforts to get these shots. Like what Pierre said. I also find difficulty to decide my subject in wide and tall elements in landscape photography! |

Hi Kathryn. You just like me. We are not professional photographers that can wait hours or even days for perfect lighting for the scene. Most of our time it's limited to only capturing snapshots. We are at the mercy of the lighting at the time and on Auto ISO. Our biggest challenge is turning our ordinary snapshots into stunning photos while preserving the true beauty of the original image! Hi Geoff. Nice image, perfect angle and perfect crop. I might want to adjust the white balance to make it a bit cooler. |

Hi Stefaan. Welcome to the club. I think you have done perfectly well with your camera setting in smoothing out the water. Photography is so much a personal taste. I agree with Pierre. Some viewers want to see a combination of smooth and sharp image. It would be nice to see the sharp bridge from left to right. |

Hi Pierre. This is a very nice sunset. I particularly like the ROL among the clouds out from the sun. I agree with Geoff. The bush on the left is a bit distracting. The new removal tool in PS 2023 would help improve this image. |

Hi Tami. In addition to image sharpness, my eyes want to see what is in the other end of the bridge. 24-70 mm lens may not be wide enough. So, I normally took several shots and stitch them for panoramic. |

Thanks Pierre. Obviously smooth out water fall from this kind of snapshots is not as simple as I thought. There were so many OE spots that could not be effectively recovered. My PSA mentor emphasize creating good image starts from your camera. Not your computer! |

Hi Stefaan. Welcome to the club. Like you, English is also my second language. Thanks for your technical advice for water fall shots. As I mentioned, this shot used Point and Shoot camera, far from being ideal water fall image. |

Hi Jack. I am with every body to say that it's a nice capture. Like LC, I saw a bit of soft halo around the bird. I would normally use 'select subject' either in PS or LR to help separate my object from the background. I also saw a bit of grey area on left part of the bird body. That was a typical situation when darkening some subjects. Brendan Williams explains how to solve this issue with his tutorial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SlDjgVRqfY&t=179s
My ultimate post editing is always the animal eye. In this case, I would likely softened the wood texture and clarity. Then, bring up the bird eye a bit more pop. Enjoy your time for editing this nice capture. |

Hi Dan. It's an excellent capture. I am not sure what you have done during post process. My eyes saw a bit of more contrast of big bird on the left, the grass behind it and the chick on the left. If so, that's what I did to attract my viewers eyes. |

The present of flying bee makes this image becomes extraordinary. I just like the soft feather leg and wrinkles around the eye. The two bright parts, salmon fillet (?) and wood block where the bird stands keep pulling my eyes way from interesting subjects. I would darkened these too bright parts. And, increase contrast of the vulture head and the flying bee with a bit of vignette to keep my viewer's eyes go to these two stunning subjects. |

Hi LC. Thanks for your comments and suggestions. Welcome to Indonesia. You can take picture of this bird in Taman Safari (Safari Garden). https://goo.gl/maps/5asT8ogGNaYjU6aH9
Come earlier before the feeding time. In additions to birds there are also many other animals. You could right a special 'cage carrier' for taking pictures while they feed tigers and lions. |
