34 Mar 23 Comment Steve, thanks for your suggestion. I could have removed the far left stick. Mar 26th
34 Mar 23 Comment Hi Mike. I enjoy your creation so much. I love how you bring misty mood into the composition. I feel calm, cool and peaceful. Inspiring composition. Good job Mike! Mar 23rd
34 Mar 23 Comment Hi Jan, I like to read your explanation about the process of creating this composite image. One thing that I noticed here. You really did it with fun, whole-hearted and passion. Job well done! Mar 23rd
34 Mar 23 Comment I enjoyed and learned the discussion between Gunter Haibach and Steve Wessing. Something that was beyond my knowledge and experience in photography. Mar 23rd
34 Mar 23 Comment Hi Gunter, I agree with your suggestions. I should have allow more room for the bird to 'fly and breath'. Mar 23rd
34 Mar 23 Reply Hi Jan, thanks for your encouraging words. I really appreciate it. Mar 23rd
34 Mar 23 Reply Mike, thanks for comments. I am looking forward to see your heron shots in the next posting. Mar 23rd
34 Mar 23 Reply Steve, thanks for your kind words and suggestions. Mar 23rd
34 Mar 23 Comment Hi Gunter, to me, this is one of the top space art image. Excellent work. Mar 23rd
34 Mar 23 Comment Hi Candy, I love to read the story behind your image creation. The image title is Cosmic Travel. I like how you bring bright light behind red anthurium leaf and expose part of the frog eyes. I can feel how you translate your imagination into this composed image. Job well done. Mar 23rd
34 Mar 23 Comment Hi Steve, I am not just learning photography here but also upgrading my English. This time I learned the word Medusa. I do not have any criticism on your composite image. But, I don't know why your Medusa portrait brings me more story into my mind. I love the original 2 so much. Mar 23rd

70 Mar 23 Comment Hi Pierre, this one of good examples how to shoot milky way. You purposely set your son tent into the scene. Job well done!

70 Mar 23 Comment Hi Kirk, I agree with everybody else here. It is a nice shot and you cropped appropriately well to get well balance composition. Mar 23rd
70 Mar 23 Comment Hi Geoff. This is indeed a unique image to me. I have the same curiosity as others here. How did you shoot this image? Mar 23rd
70 Mar 23 Comment Hi Terina, what a wonderful capture and blending in post process. I think you have chosen the right title for this image ... Glorious Sunrise ... Every thing looks perfect here. I did not notice any OE (over expose) part in the scene. I suggest you add a bit of sharpness part on the left part of the foreground to make it look more consistent and natural. Mar 23rd
70 Mar 23 Comment Hi Tami, I agree with Pierre, this is a nice scenery. Like Geoff suggestion, I might want to desaturate the sky a bit. My eyes start from the brightest part of the sky and enjoy nice back lighted green hill. I prefer not to include the handrail into the scene. Mar 23rd
70 Mar 23 Reply Thanks Geoff. Mar 23rd
70 Mar 23 Reply Hi Pierre, I appreciate your suggestion for using Color Grading. This week, I learned more about Color Grading from this article. https://www.adorama.com/alc/guide-to-color-grading/
I just realized how powerful is Color Grading in bringing the mood of our image.

70 Mar 23 Reply Hi Kirk, Thanks for your comments and suggestions. Your edit makes the whole scene more alive. I came to the location a bit late that time. So, I did not see the sun. It took me years to learn PS to make my dream image into a reality. Please see attached picture. I posted this picture in DDG Group 34 last month. Mar 23rd

90 Mar 23 Comment Square image is just fine and suitable for this composition. I like the shooting angle. I would apply overall noise reduction. Then, partially desaturate and unsharp the wood a bit. Great shot! Mar 24th
90 Mar 23 Comment Hi David. I really like the way you set and crop. No suggestion. Awesome work from start to finish. Mar 24th
90 Mar 23 Reply Thanks David. Mar 24th
90 Mar 23 Reply Hi Jack. I apply different trick I learned from my photography mentor here. Instead of sharpening my main subjects (the birds). I purposely apply a bit of haze to the background and unsharp the vine. This would make my main subject look sharper. Mar 24th
90 Mar 23 Reply Thanks Ginny. Mar 24th
90 Mar 23 Comment The bird's eye is sharp and becomes outstanding among its camouflage. I agree with Jack and David suggestions to darkened the background as the viewer's eye tend to see the brightest part of the image. I found a good reading regarding this subject. https://www.adorama.com/alc/photo-composition-and-contrast-leading-the-eye-to-your-subject/ Mar 24th
