I enjoyed and learned the discussion between Gunter Haibach and Steve Wessing. Something that was beyond my knowledge and experience in photography. |

Hi Gunter, I agree with your suggestions. I should have allow more room for the bird to 'fly and breath'. |

Hi Candy, I love to read the story behind your image creation. The image title is Cosmic Travel. I like how you bring bright light behind red anthurium leaf and expose part of the frog eyes. I can feel how you translate your imagination into this composed image. Job well done. |

Hi Steve, I am not just learning photography here but also upgrading my English. This time I learned the word Medusa. I do not have any criticism on your composite image. But, I don't know why your Medusa portrait brings me more story into my mind. I love the original 2 so much. |

Hi Pierre, this one of good examples how to shoot milky way. You purposely set your son tent into the scene. Job well done!

Hi Terina, what a wonderful capture and blending in post process. I think you have chosen the right title for this image ... Glorious Sunrise ... Every thing looks perfect here. I did not notice any OE (over expose) part in the scene. I suggest you add a bit of sharpness part on the left part of the foreground to make it look more consistent and natural. |

Hi Tami, I agree with Pierre, this is a nice scenery. Like Geoff suggestion, I might want to desaturate the sky a bit. My eyes start from the brightest part of the sky and enjoy nice back lighted green hill. I prefer not to include the handrail into the scene. |

Hi Pierre, I appreciate your suggestion for using Color Grading. This week, I learned more about Color Grading from this article. https://www.adorama.com/alc/guide-to-color-grading/
I just realized how powerful is Color Grading in bringing the mood of our image. |

Hi Kirk, Thanks for your comments and suggestions. Your edit makes the whole scene more alive. I came to the location a bit late that time. So, I did not see the sun. It took me years to learn PS to make my dream image into a reality. Please see attached picture. I posted this picture in DDG Group 34 last month. |

Square image is just fine and suitable for this composition. I like the shooting angle. I would apply overall noise reduction. Then, partially desaturate and unsharp the wood a bit. Great shot! |

Hi Jack. I apply different trick I learned from my photography mentor here. Instead of sharpening my main subjects (the birds). I purposely apply a bit of haze to the background and unsharp the vine. This would make my main subject look sharper. |

The bird's eye is sharp and becomes outstanding among its camouflage. I agree with Jack and David suggestions to darkened the background as the viewer's eye tend to see the brightest part of the image. I found a good reading regarding this subject. https://www.adorama.com/alc/photo-composition-and-contrast-leading-the-eye-to-your-subject/ |
