Hi San,
This is much more appealing than your original post. I just love the tonality. You have included all of ten B&W zones by Ansel Adam between pure black and pure white. I did not see any black or white clip. To me, you have done it perfectly! |

Thanks Pierre. I will note this latitude for my next visit to Tahoe. I really appreciate it. |

Hi Judy, I love how you create the dynamic leading lines from left to right. I also like how you changed the color mood. What is Lifepixel to super color 590nm? Thank you. |

Hi Kathryn. To me, it's just a perfect shot and a perfect composition. I would rather follow your original cropping. My eyes start from the sun all the way to the left and stop at the grass island on the left. By the way, what's the benefit of Topaz Denoise compare to Define 2 of Nik Collection Filters? |

Hi San, I like how you hide the sun behind the tree. This makes your foreground and midground looked much stronger. This allowed you to shoot in a slow shutter speed. I have been to Tahoe a couple of time but not aware of nice photography spot like this. Is there any reference for photography spots there? |

Pierre,
I like the composition and how you set the leading lines. I agree with Judy for brightening part of the shadow area of the midground. Since I know that you always shot with exposure bracket, you might want to brighten it with layer mask from likely +1 exposure. |

Pierre, thanks for your comments. I captured those images on a sturdy tripod (from my Hotel room). Four different times and interval. Afternoon before sunset, evening, early morning before sun rise and day time. Like you, I always capture in 3-exposure-bracket. I then upload all of my 12 images as layers in PS. I select only parts of the image that I think are suitable. I deleted the un-used layers and combine the rest by using masks, Blend-If, local adjustments, dodge and burn to make it seamless. I really enjoyed the fun of editing them to get the day-to-night scenery as I dream. I am looking forward to see your day-to-night image on your next posting. Cheers Pierre. |
