Judy, thanks for telling me that this month posting is a surreal landscape image. You make me learn and deep dive into photo surrealism circumstances. You just make me realize that surreal landscape is one of my passion in photography. Thanks for educating me. |

Lamar, you are right AI technology for Sky Replacement indeed reconstruct some of the sky pixels. Yesterday Adobe just announced and demonstrated how their Sky replacement works. It simplified much of our work flow with even better results. Thanks to engineers who developed digital technology in photography. |

San Yuan cropping definitely looks more pleasing in composition. It brings focus to the 'Donkey POI' with flower foreground.
I just followed a Webinar and learned from a famous Holland Street Photographer - Ricky Sieger. He said a good street photo is a story telling photo. Sometimes we have to be mindful when doing cropping (especially in Street Photos) so as not to eliminate part of the story telling elements. Judy's image is not so much Street Life photography. However, it is a story telling photo to me. I prefer the Judy's cropping. IMHO the wooden barn gate is one of the story telling elements in this case. I would prefer not to eliminate it. Nice work Judy. |

Hi Todd, I love how you divide this image into several sharpness layers. I am not sure if this was original from your RAW or you did in post process. No matter what, I love this approach. I would therefore suggest you explore more by cropping portrait. Nice shot Todd. |

Hi Kathryn. One thing that I love so much is the composition. You nicely place the spire and the moon off center for a pleasant look composition. Like Judy's comment the sky is a bit too bright and the surrounding light makes me think it was a sun. I have tried to tune it down in Photoshop but it did not look realistic. I wonder it could be better if we do it for the RAW file. Thanks for sharing this shot with us. |

Hi Pierre. I read your conversation with Judy. I live in
a tropical country. So, 0F or 32F are both too cold to me. Hehehe. I really appreciate your efforts to get this image. Early birds, freezing and shore winds. All was for a Morning Twilight. Therefore, I translated my imagination to explore more on twilight tonality and gradation. Pardon me, if my editing way beyond your saturation taste But I just want to show you that I am aiming of making smooth light zebra cross on the waves. Nice capture Pierre. |

Hi Lamar, I just love the composition and so much in favor to Kathryn review about the blurred foreground and background. To me, it is perfectly well set. I imagine the image would be more dynamic if we allow one or two birds are about to fly. Nice capture Lamar. |

Judy, Thank you so much for your kind review. Now, I just realized that in many times I was busy and excited editing area by area of my image. But forget to step backward to review the overall scene. You remind me that the contest judges would only have several seconds to decide yes or no. Your comment is a deep photography reflection to me. I appreciate it! |

Hi San, this is my dream place for photography in China. This place is not included in ordinary China Tour from Indonesia. Only specific photography tour visit this place. I have made a pre-book, but Covid Pandemic ruin the plan. This photo just awesome, two thumbs up, you shoot at the right time from the right place. I like you focus on one particular spot with 300 mm lens. I also like your finished image, I saw others over do editing it. Job well done. |
