Hi San, thanks for your comments. This image gives me a lot of lessons to learn. The RAW file that was almost discarded brought me six accepted points from different Photo Circuits. |

Hi Judy,
I know some thing must have gone wrong. That was not your image style. The new one is much better. I like the color harmony and its presentation. One think that pull my attention away from the interest area (which is to me is the swirling foam in the middle of the scene) is the rope like object hanging on the rock. I hope you don't mind if I removed it and apply a little bit of vignette to make the interest area looks more outstanding. I learn a lot from your observance eyes to see interesting spots. Nice shot Judy.

Hi Pierre,
This is another lesson learn to me. Photography is really a matter of taste. I prefer the original color. I wait for my friend Todd Paige to tweak some thing here. No doubt, this a nice composition for the mood. Nice shot Pierre. |

Todd,
This is definitely a 5-star image to me. Last time, I criticized your editing was a bit too crispy to me. But, this image … is just perfectly done! At least to my taste. You partially sharpened and brings perfect hues, saturations and luminance to some of the key areas only. I think, you have successfully make the whole image more dimensional and stunning. You are one step ahead.
I have image collections in my hard drive. This bring me ideas for my editing reference. If you don't mind, I would steal this image shamelessly from you. This would definitely be one of my future editing reference. Excellent work Todd!
Note to Todd: See my comment on Pierre image

Lamar,
I agree with you. This image is much better in B&W. To me, the fence as a leading line and the tree on the left is definitely brings impact to the whole composition. This image support my learnings that there are many images that looked more powerful in B&W. Nice Work Nik. |

I normally use spot metering. In this case it does not matter what metering we are using the real situation was quiet hazy. Thanks for your comments Nik. |
