Hi Kathryn. Indeed the monochrome looks more interesting although the color has given a different mood and effect. Thanks Kathryne. |

Hi San,
Your comment and ideas are well accepted. I have some color images that I feel were good for submission to a photo contest. But it failed. I redo it as monochrome and get Accepted in other salon. This is one of the example. This image failed in recent two Photo circuits. I agree with your suggestion this look more stunning in monochrome. Thank you. |

Hi Judy,
Without your explanation I would think this could be an image of an archeological physical remains. This one thing that I learned from you. I just practice it in my last trip to India. Some of my photography friends have given me positive comments on it. By the way, I did a little bit of post editing from your original image. I think it's more revealing (to me) where the light and the stream came from the same directions. |

Hi Kathryn,
You mentioned that you are quarantined in the southern Arizona desert. In my live, I have experience a number of 'quarantine' situations. And, I always look at it as an opportunity to do something productive. This image is a sign of your remarkable creativity in the situation. I like how you choose the angle of your shot. Awesome composition. I am just add a bit of post editing touch. Hope you will like it. |

Hi Todd,
I really appreciate your remarkable post editing to San's image. You begin where the light was coming. You first tackle the highlight clipping area down to highlighting the tree brunch at the bottom of the image. You make it complete by cropping to make the whole image more stunning. It is perfectly suitable for a biblical message poster. Good job Todd. I really like it. |

Hi San,
Welcome to the club. Your first post has brought me messages of your photography taste. You must have been very observance to fine details around you. We have Judy Murphy in this group that has inspired me a lot on how to see my photography frames. You mentioned you have done minimal post-processing with PS. If so, I must say you must have done it effectively. Please review my comment to Todd Paige.

Hi Todd,
I love how you did the finishing touch. Two thumbs up. Misty background and gradual layers only to some parts. Partially blur the top of the midle rock and gradually increase sharpness and clarity towards some parts of the foreground. It's an awesome work to me. I am just wondering if there could be any supporting element to show the scale of the whole scene.

Hi Pierre,
I just like your original composition. The sun behind the trees. The sun and it's water reflection. The top of trees and branches. A bit of water ripple. Awesome finished look of the image. Like you, I always shoot bracketed images. But, I seldom use it as HDR especially when there is moving parts like tree branches. I tend to a bit 'overly sharpen' the top tree branches to make it more stunning. I normally do partial sharpening in Lightroom or with High pass filter in Photoshop. Nice work Pierre.

Hi Kathryn,
You know English is my second language. This time you make me learn the word 'eerie'. Indeed, capturing this image with IR camera has made it extraordinary. It's eerie. |

Hi Lamar,
I have heard about IR camera and I have seen several IR images but have not attracted much of my attention until I saw this image. You clearly explained lighting condition when you took this image at mid-afternoon overcast of a summer day. I imagine the image would have been so flat with ordinary camera. You make me curious and explore how does IR camera work. To me, its is just awesome and job well done.
