Most Aerial photos are in Landscape format. You make think out of the box to get some think difference. I will try this composition for next Photo Contest. I believe it will attract jury attention to stop at least for a while and will means Accepted. Thanks for your genuine suggestion Todd. |

Hi Glen,
I think you have done a great job by getting it with one single shot.
Honestly, I have no patience like you. I would normally take several shots and rely on combining it in Post Processing.
I imagine you must be patiently staying there for a while. Enjoying your self with the environtment and natural sound of the flowing streams. Try several settings chose and develop only one that you like the most. I know you must enjoy the time.
You make me learn not just the photography this time … but how how to enjoy nature while taking pictures. Thanks for the unspoken lesson.
This is also my deep emphaty for you guys living in NSW and southern Queensland. My friend in Australia send me some touching pictures in regards to this Bushfires. One of them where a fire officer carrying poor Koala away from the bushfires. I am glad to hear you and your family are safe.

Hi Judy,
I agree with most comments here. I know it will not easy to expand image by cloning some areas. Alternately, my instinct would be cropped it tighter. I know it's not ideal but that's what I did to salvage some of my travel collection pictures that I like so much. |

Hi Kathryn,
I love the image tonality. You have successfully make it dimensional. Nice work. |

My first impression was you are sharpening the image globally. I know I was wrong when I look it closer. You obviously sharpened ony part of the object you want to make it more dimensional. Likely the tree, the wood, the stone and dry grass at the fore ground. I think you have done a great job on these spots. I wonder if saw a bit of halos among the tree on the dark side of the sky. It could be a result of sharpening effect in this area. I would normally mask it to avoid sharpening the edge against darker background. I just love your original composition and tone. Nice work Todd. |

Hi Pierre, I love this winter scenery so much. I just do not have much words as other friends here. This shot really inspire me as I will be traveling to Norway and Finland end of this month chasing for Northern Lights and this kind of Winter Sceneries. One thing that I learned here, I might probably want to include more space on the left, right, more sky and wider foreground. Thanks for inspiring me with your shot Pierre. |

I don't disagree with most comments here. I imagine this picture would be much more impactful if we could only include three swans that positioned themselves nicely. Focus on three swans as our focal points here then allow slightly sharper background and calm water with no other swans as a foreground. |

Thank you so much Glen,
Your example inspired me so much. Indeed, I like simple and pleasing composition. The down side of most Drones are their limited pixels. Many aerial photographers suggest that we arrange compositions on the fly as much as possible and do minimum cropping during post processing . Any comment with my new crop and composition?

Hi Judy,
You are right. This from the Torry Pines side where you can see a big mansion facing the beach.
Thanks for your comments Judy. |

Hi Pierre,
Yes we can change the f/stop on the fly. We can choose either Manual or Auto exposure. In case of DOF, not so much we can do. I was amazed with technology behind this small Drone.
Thanks for your comments. |
