What a lovely sight and image. That little bird demanded a more enlarged treatment to me. You really did it justice with bringing out its features. The curves of the branches also add a lot to the story.
Somehow, the bird's placement in the crop seemed off to me. So I moved him to the viewers left with the Object Selection Tool, CNTL J to a new layer, then move tool of the bird on the new layer. After that, I selected the bird in your final image, enlarged the selection, and did a content aware fill. Finally, I stamped up and applied the crop tool with Content Aware Fill checked. That added more to the left, and less on top, allowing the bird to be placed at the upper left power point. |

Rita, this is just lovely. I really like the antique effect. And I agree, leave all those distracting signs out. I do like the lighter tint, as well as, the lighter vignette.
I recognized this as New Orleans immediately. My favorite part of that city was this trolley! In your image, your photo has the leading lines placed well. I also love the curve of the overhanging trees.
Great job! |

Oh Jan, this is SO lovely! What a fascinating way to use flower pictures! Your arrangement with the larger flowers in the center and the smaller ones on the rim, seems perfect to me. Thank you for the Valentines Day inspiration! |

Mary, you did a good job cleaning up the original.
As I viewed your image, it occurred to me that I really wanted the subject to stand out more, alone from other distractions. I used PS Select > Subject to select the statue and then CTRL J to copy the selection to a new, top layer.
Back on a copy of the original image, I added a motion blur to make the clouds blow by. I felt that a softer texture and motion would tell a better story as a backdrop to the fixed statue which had a different texture. Then I cropped out as much as I dared to really home in on that statue. |

I forgot to add, the crispness of this image is amazing and the cloud effects are also perfect, in my opinion. |

Carol, this is a real work of art! I love every bit of it. The subtle colors, the lines of the slope, even the bracketing trees on the edges.
Thank you for sharing how you created that snow effect. It was perfect! |
