This is so delicate and beautiful, Denise. I really like what you have done with your edits.
It's lovely the way it is. You might consider enlarging the flower a bit, to make it an even more predominant subject. |

The colors in the bird match well with the colors in the lighthouse. The bird also adds more interest to the image. Your crop works well also, for what you have here. But somehow, the image did not sit well with me. It seemed too flat, to me.
So I played with your original images to see what would fall out. I found that a larger bird was more appealing to me, as it made the image less like a balanced scale while it made the bird seem more like a primary subject. Those summer skies always fall flat for me on an image. So I added some upper sunlight with a mask inverted to black on a Brightness/Contrast adjustment layer, on which I painted white with a reduced opacity soft brush, using different concentric sizes. Finally, I used Topaz Impressionist Degas Dancer 2 application at 50% Lighten blending mode for the oil painting effect. |

Connie, I do like your choice of color in this photograph. It is really beautifully done, in my opinion. The curves in the image are also very appealing to me.
Like others, my suggestion would be to tone down the texture over the flower. It is too distracting from the beauty of this treasure, in my opinion.
All in all, I find this a beautiful image. |

I forgot to mention that the conversion to mono was perfect for this scene, in my opinion! |

Carol, this is stunning. You did an amazing job on replacing that cluttered background. The texture is beautiful. The image itself is very well done, very alluring and it tells a lovely story.
You are fortunate to have had an image of the male dancer with his eyes looking toward the camera! Good job on replacing the original. I once took a family reunion picture of 19 people. All but one (one of my daughter-in-laws) were looking at the camera. But I took several pictures and she was looking at the camera in some. So I copied her head and placed it in the initial image, just as you did! It's a handy technique for anyone to remember who is taking group images! But it requires several shots of the same scene. |

What a delightful catch! You cropped in tightly enough and caught that child in a very cute pose. I remember the days when I tried to eat snow. How fun it was. Your image is a great story telling one.
I can't imagine snow in June, but since it is a 'snow' day, I wondered what it would be like in black and white. So I cropped it a bit on the bottom and added the same amount on top using the Content Aware feature of the crop tool. Then I added a B&W adjustment layer. I stamped up and took the result into NIK Color Efex Pro, to add even more appearance of snow. To do that, I used the Graduated Fog present, once for each side of the image. Back in PS, I used a mask to bring back the taller person's hate. What fun it was! |
