Yes, the dog was kind of "stiff" on its leash. There were many dogs there, along with many people. Unfortunately, it wasn't such a good situation for the dogs, as they were all on rather tight leashes. The one exception was a free dog, who walked around his houseboat, uninterested in all the public notice he was getting! Unfortunately, I didn't get an appropriate picture of him! |

Yes, I use PS CC. Here is a link to the set of actions that I purchased: https://www.photographybb.com/product/sketchography2-artistry-actions-for-photoshop-cc/
They are fun to play with, though I've been disappointed with some. I just have to play with them more! |

Jan, I like your version. I too felt like the dog looked "too pasted", but I was in a hurry and didn't try to struggle finding out how to further treat the dog. you did a very good job of it. Thank you! |

Welcome Brian! You are a masterful addition to our group. Your vigor in approaching a new app has paid off with the production of a very lovely image. I have nothing to add, as far as suggestions go. The reflection color does not bother me either, as there is a very bright sunlight shining on the water, which sort of bleaches out any water color. But you might play with slightly altering that reflection color, by applying a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer and painting on its mask to apply the adjustment just to the reflection. Just a thought... |

So lovely...You really did the owner of this house a favor by replacing that proper hedge with a plethora of rich and beautiful flower power! I like the bird on the roof also. Brian's interpretation is more appealing to me, as it emphasizes the vertical pathway to the house.
Great image, worthy of a wall hanging!

Wow, this is my favorite image this month! You really had a creative idea and executed it wonderfully. My son gave me one of those balls for my birthday, but I haven't done anything with it. I've seen other images taken through the ball, but have not been impressed. They all look alike, even with different subjects, and it gets boring. However, YOU have really done something beautiful and creative with your ball! |

As usual, your images really appeal to me. The lines and story here are very nice, in my opinion. One thing that "annoyed" me was the color of the rug. It just seemed inconsistent with the rest of the image. However, I realize that you like to emphasize separate objects in your images. This one blends objects a little more than I have come to expect from you. But perhaps the red carpet is more of a delimiter of that object in the image, in line with your preferences.
At any rate, I decided to play with the image, and I used a solid color adjustment layer to change the color of the rug to a vivid blue, to both pick up the sky color and to emphasize the object. |

Forgive me for being so late. I thought that I had already completed my comments, but apparently I had only done so in my dreams!
I really appreciate the work you have done here. Old cars are fun to photograph, but it is not so easy to create an interesting image out of them without repeating what others have done ad naseum. By including the nesting bird, you have added story telling interest. In addition to that, the image of the car is nicely done and highlighted by the hood ornament, which is often missing on old and rusted cars. Good job!

Excellent! I really enjoy the creativity here. It's nice to have good subjects available.
I haven't used "Floood" in a long time, so I have a question as to why you applied it each time you added a single Goth? Would it have made a big difference if you had added all the Giths, and then applied Flood once? I assume the reflections are generated by Flood? |

Such a delightful image! I too could not resist playing with it. I have a new PS CC app, that creates a sketch out of any image. See: https://www.photographybb.com/product/sketchography2-artistry-actions-for-photoshop-cc/
I used a 'light pencil' action, closed down mowt of the groups (except the bottom one) that it generated, stamped up, copied the new layer, and put it at 46% opacity with a Vivid Light blending mode, over the original. Then I added a curves adjustment layer and pulled down the black part of the curve and pulled up the light (top) side of the curve, to create more contrast.
Thanks for presenting such a nostalgic and lovely image for us!

Wonderful treatment of that original photo... though I too would have liked to have seen the makeup brush and hand to flesh out the story of the image. Nevertheless, as a portrait, this is rather stunning. I also like Witta and Linda's interpretations. There is a lot to work with in this photo. To me, it would have made an excellent addition to what was turned in!

Lovely! You did a good job of cropping and rotating the flower into that angled position. Yes, the colors are appealing. You really brought out the red and green in your post processing.
Could you, in the future, tell us a bit more about your post processing steps?

This is very beautiful and you chose a really good post process, in my opinion. I love the color in your image. The composition is well done.
Wow, focus stacking on a catatonic caterpillar is a great idea! I didn't realize they would maintain an unmoving pose long enough to do focus stacking on them. Koodos for your work! |

It is a lovely old rose! I like the lines of the image, with its curved, sloping descent. The cartoon application emphasizes the rose well, though it is not a watercolor look, in my opinion.
The cartoon effect also emphasizes the background leaves and that competes with the rose, strongly, in my opinion. Perhaps that distraction would be minimized if you used a texture to soften the background. Alternatively, in PS, you could under expose and/or desaturate the background with adjustment layers. However I believe a watercolor texture would work best, so that the rose becomes the prime focus of interest. |

Well done! Thank you for the instruction on the PS filter. I will try it. I do have TS2, but have not used it much. WillYou have inspired me to do more with it.
The background is terrific, though I could do with many fewer dots. The hat is well done. Though the background is appealing to me, I like the way the man really stands out from it. The coloring of this portrait is also appealing to me.
Yes, to me this is fi e art. I would hang it on my wall! |
