the colors in this image are very well done, in my opinion. Your background greens and dark blues complement the blue pedal and its green rim.All of those colors really support the amazing white tones of this beautiful flower. You did a really nice job of bringing out that white flower, with its ripples and bright center. This is frameable. Keep growing those hibiscus flowers! they are perfect models! |

this is such a lovely area. I'm glad fire did not destroy it. Your image is beautiful, and alluring. I do like the slightly more clear version that Witta offered. |

Cecilia, Your image is lovely. I believe all the comments made are pretty good, and really like Steven's interpretation.
One thing I thought of, to add, is that it would make it clear that she was an angel, rather than a person in costume, if she were slightly transparent against the background.
Good job! |

Mary, I like the color cast, but I am not thrilled by the candle. The image does tell an intriguing story, and the elements of the book against the bodice are well done, in my opinion. I tried playing with the image, but could not come up with anything that I liked. I do, however, believe that you should crop it on the right. I really like Witta's treatment of a crop and the candle. |

The composition of this image is quite pleasing to my eye. I find the juxtaposition of disparate objects quite reflective of things around my own home! To me, the similar colors unify all these objects. The result is lovely.
The only thing that bothered me about the image, is that there is not a uniform 'blurriness' or softening of the background on the plane of the washboard. The center of that plane is soft while the edges are sharper on the same plane. To my taste, all parts of the background would look better if they had the same degree of softness. |

Witta, this is just lovely. You did bring out those island shadows. The final color is perfect, to me. The placement of the boat and the island, and the large amount of negative space are well coordinated. the "fogginess in the sky could also be seen as "god rays" seeping through the clouds or a morning fog rolling in or leaving. The image places the viewer in a very tranquil yet upbeat place. |
