No, he does not participate in PSA. He is a much better photographer than me, however. His "block print" images of boats are dramatic and inspiring, in my opinion. I did ask his permission to use that inspiration in some of my work! |

I agree with Steve, this is my favorite image of this month. I'm itching to try some steampunk again! However, my preference of your two steampunk images, is the one with the lady in November.
You did a good job of shading to give depth to the image.
I think I would actually prefer to see a little more sharpness in the foreground clock--a bit more structure to it, since it is preeminent. |

Helen, I couldn't help laughing when I saw your clever submission! This is what every young boy would like to do to his sister! Thanks for an emotionally impacting submission! It really tells a humerus story. |

Very lovely, Denise. I agree with what has been said. A stroke would help it to stand out. Your use of a brush to create the powder is quite masterful, in my opinion. |

Welcome Alan, and thank you for your wonderful tutorial!
Your image is very "musical" and definitely makes for a story full of whimsy--emotionally impactful.
As to the lovely ballerinas, I tend to prefer Candy's take. The transparency of the dancers does not seem to be consistent to my eyes. It seems that they go from solid (in front), to transparent by the door, and then back to solid from there on back, with brightness as the changing factor. To my eyes, it's just one of those perceptual tricks the senses play on us!
All in all, I really appreciate your complete contribution this month. It's good to have you here! |

I too really prefer the blue to the gold tones, to bring out mood in your well processed image. One suggestion: Perhaps it would be more appropriate for the light to be coming from below, rather than from above, putting the top of the window into the shadows. |

This is very well done, in my opinion. I do like what you did to eliminate a distracting background. Impasto is one of my favorite presets! The comments about the light spots are right on, to me. I'd especially prefer a slightly more defined top of head. However, your BW version is really the best, in my opinion!
