34 Jan 18 Comment Phil, I do like your version also! Fun.Although I prefer more subtle, desaturated, and monochrome images these days, I also like a vibrant play of colors. In other words, if there is to be color, then let it shout out! Here's another variation on the background, using the Twist method. More on that next month. Jan 19th
34 Jan 18 Comment This is a very innovative idea. I especially like that it is creative using natural, undistorted elements. As has been said here, 'creative' photography is more than just composition. Though this is a composition, it does not distort or hide the original components, but instead, uses them in a meaningful manner just as they are! Jan 1st
34 Jan 18 Comment This is an emotion -evoking image. It's a great concept, in my opinion. I'm fascinated by how you imaged it, photographed yourself, and brought it all together.

To me, the 'girl' is too bright and her color does not seem to sync with the other color in the image. I put your texture layer over the completed image, and set the blending mode to 'Color'. Then I used a color balance adjustment layer to make the color closer to what you had in your final version. Also used a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer and a brightness/contrast adjustment layer, followed by burning the hair in a deeper color.

34 Jan 18 Comment Phil, this is an amazing image, in my opinion. I LOVE it! The bright color of the result, along with that lovely texture, really turned an ordinary image into a true work of art! Jan 1st
34 Jan 18 Reply It is very busy. Most of my current work favors black and white treatments. But it was fun playing with all the vibrant colors, though what I fooled around with, using blending modes, was not my intention when I sat down to develop my garden images! What surprised me was how vivid the colors became, and how much a 'kaleidoscope' effect emerged because of the different blending modes! Jan 1st
34 Jan 18 Comment You certainly did bring out the beauty of this plant. Your edited image rally makes it 'pop'. Jan 1st
34 Jan 18 Comment Dreamy! This was a clever idea, Steve. Good result! Jan 1st
