I like the idea of changing the contrast and tone of the trees. I do prefer to leave them in, as a frame. Thanks for the suggestion Helen! |

I definitely agree about lowering the saturation of that green grass! Good catch! Thanks! |

:-) I'd love to have a picture of a Goth, but they are few and far between around here! I'm always jealous of your effective Goth images in your contributions! At Halloween, we went down to the Marshwalk near here, to photograph children and adults in costume for the festival. I was hoping to get something like your Goth images, but there were too many people in to narrow a path, to get many good images! |

Your sunset image is stunning. Don't worry about judges. No matter how much we used to stress criteria, judges make snap decisions, which are very subjective! |

PS, I am not fond of this image, but do like the way the lines of it work together! |

Bravo for not letting the moment pass, and opting to use the phone camera, and then opting to see what you could do to rescue a blurry image! To me, the effect of the sun really adds to the image. However, I would much prefer it to be on the Original 3, with nothing further added.
I layered the final image over original 3 with overlay blend mode; took out the boat, man, and bird; transformed the scale to pull down the overlay to align it; put a mask over the fence on the 'final' (top) image layer; stamped up; enhanced the image with NIK Color Efex Pro > [darken/lighten center and detail extract]. |

Helen, I applaud your experimental approach! The colors are attractive and this might work well as a texture or background, in my opinion. |

Candy, in my opinion, this is a great story-telling composition. The effect of a child watching curiously, is always an attraction to eye and emotions, in my opinion.
To me, the blue shirt doesn't harmonize well, so I played with it in black and white. First, I added a brightness/contrast adjustment layer, to brighten and create more contrast, in preparation for BW conversion. Then I added a black and white adjustment layer, lowered the reds, cyans, blues, and magentas, and then upped the yellows. |

This is truly amazing! In my mind, it shows innovative photography and inspiring creativity. You show a memorable memento of an eclipse, unlike any other! 1st place for technical proficiency and ingenious creativity! |

like it! You did a great job on those lips, as well as the slant of the eyes. I wonder how PS CC Filter > Liquify might work to do something similar? I don't have Portrait Pro, but have just started to take more 'people' pictures, inspired by your Gothy images! |
