34 Sep 17 Comment You clever arrangement for a photograph is very appealing to me. I also appreciate the texture you gave to the image. Great creative job! Sep 16th
34 Sep 17 Comment Helen, in my opinion, you did a fine job with the light on the rocks. You transformed a common type of image of a lighthouse into a really good work of art, in my opinion. I do like Steve's reduction of opacity of the texture over the reflection. Sep 16th
34 Sep 17 Comment Wonderful image Phil! You did a superb job of photographing and organizing the various phases of the eclipse. I'm jealous :-)! Sep 16th
34 Sep 17 Comment The colors and shapes in your image are delightful. It is beautiful, in my opinion. I do agree with Phil on the subject(s) position. Perhaps if you were to move the boat down to a power point in the image, that would be taken care of. Sep 16th
34 Sep 17 Comment The image and idea is very appealing. Jan's changes are very good. Before I saw what she did, I took the liberty of playing a bit with this interesting image. I wanted the engine to show some of the Van Gogh effect, but thought it might be fun to have the engine come out of the image. So I moved the engine forward, until it overlapped the 'frame', re-applied the Van Gogh effect, and then masked out the front of the engine from that effect, so that it would seem to emerge from the
'painting'.

34 Sep 17 Reply I would have liked more detail also, but unfortunately, it was a bright day when the shot was taken, and I wasn't prepared to find those exquisite mushrooms! Sep 16th
34 Sep 17 Reply Steve, you are correct. I was in too much of a hurry. I never noticed those 'bits of green'! Thanks for pointing them out. Also, I do like the increased contrast a lot.

As to Irma, she turned westward, so we missed her. 90 miles south west of us, in Charleston, SC, they got the worst flooding ever. We were lucky. However, Irma was a week ago, and we are just now getting our house back in order, as we spent days sorting 'important' from non-important stuff, to take with us when we got an evacuation order. House was turned topsy-turvy!
