Lovely image. To my eye, the white background could be cropped a bit as long as care was taken to maintain visual balance. |

I agree that the color intensity or saturation of the flags could be increased. To my eye, the flags are the focal point, so they should pop a bit.
You might consider copping in a bit from the top left corner cropping out a bit of the sky as well as part of the left side. |

This is a very creative way using several images to create a composite image that is far more interesting than the original images.
The gold star in the B&W version certainly is interesting. It would eliminate the option of entering the image in a monochrome competition. It is not enough color to enter in a color division.
I agree that you might want to crop a bit from the bottom. You might also want to consider removing the three round discs. |

This image was a good candidate for black and white. I do a lot of black and white conversions myself. One thing that I have learned from entering images into competition is that the judges usually want to see at least some pure white and some pure black in an image. You might consider playing with the contrast using a curves or levels adjustment layer in PS. |

Your processed image certainly has more color than the original. I tend to push the color in an image quite a bit. You might consider increasing the saturation in the reds and yellows to make this lovely composition POP a bit more.

Thanks Jim,
I rarely think to go higher or lower when taking a shot. That is something I need to explore more. |
