I was looking at the original. The edges of the bright areas seem a bit softer than in the processed versions. |

It looks more natural. I wonder if there is some way to soften the edges of the sky so they don't feel so abrupt. |

You did capture a wonderful expression on your son's face. I agree that a little catch light in the eyes would be good. I like the puzzle pieces on your son's face, very creative. However, to my eye, the puzzle pieces in the rest of the image are a distraction that draws my attention away from the fantastic look on your son's face. |

I love the composition. I think the Topaz filter you selected is appropriate and effective. You might consider pushing the saturation a bit to make the colors pop more, especially the red and the green. |

I like the tight composition where you zoomed in on a smaller portion of the canyon. You might consider reworking the color change to the sky. That is the first thing that caught my eye. Unfortunately, the sky looks artificial to me. |

I like the composition and the overall color improvement from the raw image. You might consider pushing the color saturation just a tiny bit more. I agree with Richard and Lynette that more contrast in the buildings and midtones could really improve this image. |

Overall this is a very effective image. I agree that black and white is a good choice for this picture. The only suggestion I would make is to increase overall contrast just a little especially in the midtones. I personally like strong contrast in black and white images. |

You are right Jim about using f/16. Too bad there is no do over. |
