Great image. You really captured the feel of this event. The only suggestion I would make would be to clone out the partial ballon on the right side. |

I really like the possibilities this image offers. It can be cropped so many different ways and still work.I added a little bit of NIK detail extractor and a little tonal contrast as well as cropping the image considerably. What do you think? |

I agree with Jim that the image needs a tighter crop. The red feeder is definitely a problem. However, cropping the image so severely causes the image to become pixelated and grainy. I'm not sure what to suggest unless you use a third party app that adds pixels. I know they exist, but I've never used them. |

OK, I'm really confused. I am not seeing how your originals resulted in the final image. What am I missing? |

I really like this image. I like the color and tonal changes that you made. There are two things that attract my eye and detract from the image. The first is a bright light on the horizon. The second is a circular spot in the sky that doesn't quite look like a cloud. Removing both those distractions would really improve your image.
I removed the distractions and added two NIK filters to your image. I added a low dose of the detail extractor and a low dose of the tonal contrast filter. What do you think? |

Yes, that is much better. The original composition was better than the crop. I have no idea why it did not occur to me to clone or do a content aware fill. Thanks for reminding me of my options. |

Hi Jim,
The area in the lower left corner that I was concerned about was in the original, not the cropped image. By cropping out that patch of dirt, I shifted the intersection of the third lines. |
