I really like this image. I'm not overly concerned about the back of the train being slightly softer than the front. That does not detract from the image in my opinion. I like the warmth of the final image. However, I am curious as to why you changed the background color so significantly. |

I love the expression on the girl's face. You caught such a natural expression. I love the contrast of the blue umbrella also. I do agree with Phillip that it would be better if she weren't so close to the right edge of the image. I also notice a blue halo on top of her head and along the left side of her head. Cleaning that up would improve the image quality. I would also use the PS spot removal tool to remove the spot on the umbrella. |

Great subject and good eye. It would never have occurred to me to photograph these objects, but it certainly is an effective image in black and white. I would consider playing around with the crop so that there is not so much negative space in the lower left hand corner. Just an idea... |

I do really like the overall effect of the image. However, I'm just not sure what I am supposed to be looking at. Please explain your vision for this image and what you wanted the viewer to see or focus on. |

I love black and white images, and I love images of benches. I have seen so many great bench images. I'm just wondering if this image would be more powerful if you did a serious crop deleting everything that really does not support the image. Here is a quick and dirty crop just to give you an idea. |

OMG, I did forget to post camera settings. I have a Nikon D 800. The lens was a Nikor 24-120, f/4. Focal length was 35mm, ISO was 100, and exposure was 1/30 of a sec. @ fll. |

Thank you for the encouraging comments. I do have to admit that I did do some dodging to bring out the light strokes on the landscape. |

It was a really long day. That day of our trip was over 24 hours awake. But, we knew we would probably never be back to the Isle of Skye, so we did what we had to do! |
