Pete, this is much more interesting. It has better depth and opens another space beyond. Thank you. Jim |

David, following your suggestion, I came up with this. I darkened the window this much because it was getting very distorted if I darkened it more. Jim |

Richard, You caught the resting-face-expression of so many young women and young men. I used the clone tool to take out the orange crate. I think it adds some room for her knee and lets her lean back and relax. Jim |

Sophia, You have a fantastic photo. I also like what Mark did. I am distracted by the bright tree trunk behind the tail, so I used the burn tool to darken it. This helps the heron's tail stand out and show better detail. I also used the dodge tool to lighten the neck, head and eyes of the reflection. Jim |

Mark, I like your concept. I didn't crop as much and added texture, clarity, contrast. Then I cloned out some of the red/orange rack. I wanted to leave one light in the background. Let me know what you thin. Jim |

Mark, this landscape has movement and depth. I like what you did with changing green to gold. One thought on your composition is the distraction in the bottom edge. It's very dark except for the string of highlight in the bottom left edge. I eliminated it by cropping just enough off the bottom. Jim |

Pete, this is so well done. I agree with all of the compliments already given. I had a thought about the composition. Would you consider flipping it? I left the lights because it seems to be more pleasing, like a smiling face. Jim |

David, this is dynamic, insightful and compelling. The plaid in the shirt could be subdued by darkening it, bringing more attention to the arms and legs. Jim |

Barbara, you did an exceptional job of capturing this model in her best moment. Reading the other comments, I like the natural look. I would not add lip color and I think the shadow cast by her nose and rich lock of hair adds to the intrigue.
On our DD#5 black page, I always suggest a border when an edge of the photo has black. Good choice to make the border the color of her hair. Jim |
