24 Jul 19 Comment Sue, welcome to DD Group #24. Thank you for this photo which shows us what happens in Australia. The fire and billowing smoke provide depth and the silhouettes bring the sharp details of what's happening and might happen. The exposure brings out the best features of smoke and flame - compared to the original. Nicely done.

24 Jul 19 Comment Philip, This is a beautiful capture of Hong Kong skyscraper offices lighted up, street lights and traffic at the blue hour. I like how you have correct vertical lines and let the street lead our attention to the harbor and horizon beyond. Dr. Jim Jul 4th
24 Jul 19 Comment John, I like what you did to brighten up the people on the platform. It looks like surrealistic Americana as if Norman Rockwell painted the scene. Nicely done. Dr. Jim Jul 3rd
24 Jul 19 Comment Jim, This is a great composition as a very tight fit in an alley with clean vertical lines with a rough, slanted alleyway.
It is much better in B&W because the colors are so scattered. It was good to crop off the bottom to the "cattle-pusher" and eliminate the sharp corner to another alley. Dr. Jim

24 Jul 19 Comment Laura, I like how the texture of the cactus flower structure is similar to the texture (ouch) of the cactus. I like the radial composition and how it suggests a spiral of interest to the flower. Dr. Jim Jul 1st
24 Jul 19 Comment Donna, Nicely done. A dramatic difference in B&W to bring out the details. A very inviting image for wilderness skiers. Dr. Jim Jul 1st
