To your original, In Photoshop I used NIK, SilverPRO for conversion to B&W, detail extractor and contrast. Dr. Jim |

Kim, how good it was to find them out sunning when you were traveling. I like that you focused on the one and let the other be soft like you should reach out and pet them. I think you lost some resolution when you cropped them tight. It's okay to give them room to climb up the tree because there's already one paw on it. Dr.Jim |

Jim, I like how you show the depth through very different tonalities. The sharp focus and contrast in B&W reveals much more. Seeing that you decided to crop out the lake, I was wondering if you could have included the left shoreline and lake if you cropped it in 16:9 (widescreen). Dr. Jim |

Philip, your use of the fish eye, long exposure night photography is more amazing. The composition is compelling, moving the interest through a roller coaster of lights at night. The one arm of the star made from the moon at f/16 is longer than the others. I like it long, but not as far as getting under the overpass (which would be in shadow). Nicely done. |

Laura, I went back to the original, used spot healing brush to take out house and telephone poles, crop tool, smart sharpening. What do you think of this rendering? |

Laura, you made it to one of the most amazing places I have ever been. Some photographers do like you have done to make the lighting into a spectrum of colors. I understand your desire to bring out more purple. It's a little more lavender in the upper right corner than I saw at mid-day when I was there in September. Your exposure, composition and details are exceptionally well done. Thank you for the fond memories and unique photo. Dr.Jim |

John, I am impressed that you built the wall with a very interesting old window. Use that again and again. Nice composition, highlight and shadow are dynamic in B&W. Dr.Jim |

Donna, I like how you captured the dynamic sun rays and a great reflection on the water rushing onto the bronze beach.
I assume that you might not be familiar with tools in post-processing, or may not have a tab for images and a tool called "rotation" because your horizon is not level. If you can find that tool, select custom and one degree clockwise.
On other days, look for Florida sunsets with some clouds - just to see if you can get sun rays to appear when there are also clouds in the sky. Dr.Jim |
