Lynette, Great moment. It's rare to sight a hummingbird and even rarer to get it to pose for you. I like the impression of surrounding the "hummer" with blurred foreground and background and catch-light on the eye. Only the hummer is focused, letting us know it's not about anything else.
There are enhancements in Elements or Nik that might help the highlights on the feathers. |

Philip, I like what you did with this fish-eye view of the setting sun. The f/14 gives the starry effect which gets repeated in the radiating shadows of chairs and tables on the floor and strings of lights in the ceiling - great composition. |

Donna, I see that you did a lot in preparing this model with black wings to fit the Halloween season. Did you use natural lighting or studio lighting? I like the full 3D shaping cast by shadows on her face and body without harsh contrast. Do I see wind blowing fabric? It's difficult to tell with the texture you added over the entire image, especially hiding features of your model's and photo's story. |

Kayvon, I like what you have done with the reflection. I like the look, rich colors and imagination.
I wonder what it might look like if you took the very bottom edge with grass roots and cropped it. Jim |

Note: The tessellation is the canoes curve on right and rows of kayaks on the left. |

Kim, You are getting much better in macro photography. Getting the bokeh is a great balance between depth of field for the sharpness of your subject and blur of your background.
I cropped your original as landscape, used the burn tool on the left bottom bud, used NIK filter for detail extraction.
Let me know what you think. Posted: 11/01/2018 09:27:32 |

Laura, I like what you have done in this perspective. It doesn't line up in thirds, but works very well for the golden spiral (Fibanaci's ratio 1:61). In photoshop "crop" tool, there are patterns in tabs - grid, thirds etc and golden spiral. This is an excellent example of tessellation.
Awesome. |
