I liked the first photo better, so I cropped off the right side to remove the path, then I reduced the cyan. |

Thanks, Kim. The sky was amazing at 9,000 feet above sea level and very blue. It was about 4:30PM, almost the golden hour. Maybe an exposure level between both would be correct. |

Kim, good to see you stepping up to new challenges. I like the image, great colors at night, good reflection from the boat.
It's a shame your sensor has so many artifacts. I hope it all cleans up. You should also clean up the many dust particles in the sky.
After cleaning - here's a tip: when removing and attaching a lens, always point the camera sensor down. Its hard to align and twist the lens on and off by feel, but learn to do it and be sure the lens is locked before taking your hand away. |

Laura, I do have NIK filters and was able to find Tonal Contrast and Detail Extractor. Thanks! Jim |

Kayvon, I used another original, not HDR, and cropped out the road. Jim |

Keyvon, I like what you did with the original to get this sharp, detailed dynamic range of depth. I like how the detail on the branch from the left is just as sharp as the faint tres in the distance. Nicely done. |

Laura, it's breathtaking. Your timing on sunrises and sunsets is well rewarded. Your capture of colors, textures and clarity fit dramatically in your composition. Guy's comment is spot on. Another exceptional photo, well done. |

Lynette, I like your decision to do B&W and vignette. It lends so much more character to your boxer and suggests a much earlier time. I like how you chose the window to be vertical rather than doing a key-stoning adjustment to make the right side vertical - like they did decades ago before Photoshop. Nicely done. |

Philip, this sunset and boats is the best one I've seen. I like the use of thirds - bottom third is rich in sunset refection, middle rich setting sunlight and top third is dynamic. Well done. |

Donna, I think you did very well to work this photo into what you saw in your head. The only improvement would be to take the photo from a boat to put the lighthouse prominently in the foreground. I like the way the sunset colors emerged in clouds and rocks. |
