The faces of the children is very expressive, all focused on the camera - which you have sharply focused on them. I like your choice of Black&White giving many gray tones to show their thoughtfulness. |

Fabulous moment of the sunset's rich bronze, copper and gold. I like the intersecting angles of both bridges. I remember the caution that the horizon should not slice the image in half, yet the suspension cables of the bridges lift it skyward and gives it a right balance. Nice reflections on the water. |

The depth of colors is striking. I like how colors and splashes of white visually flow around the island. The exposure seems to be balanced just right, focus is sharp throughout the image. |

Being a fisher-man/person, I like to follow the shoreline and look for coves. I think I see a cove set back a good distance (right of middle), so this scene may not have a flat or level horizon if the left is foreground, middle is set back and right is in the distance. Either way, sunset is a great time to fish and I see lots of good spots. |

Lynette, Thank you for your thoughts, I agree. Photoshop CC has a RAW "opener" and I reduced the whites, darkened the highlights -- but had to stop when it dulled the white feathers. I shot this at 4:48PM - great for colors but can blow out reflections. I love how the details in the feathers show up in the reflection. Thanks again, Jim |

Everything is going the right way on this. I really like how the sun-rays radiate into the near side of the island.
Your dodging and burning technique is very well done - |

Sunlight surrenders while the darkness of the night creeps in through the trees. I like how you captured it. |

The textures of Hee and Haw make them "pop" and the B&W allows the grass and trees to blur behind. Jim Horn |
