39 Dec 25 Comment Of course the "half person" on the left will be subject of discussion. I think you also thought about it before posting this picture. It is your choice and your
explication is interesting.
The attitude of this "wise man" is just great. Only his on the picture would be a completely different picture.

39 Dec 25 Comment A interesting subject with a lot of possibilities for the B&W.
A boat on the sand of the beach between water is interesting.
Once you saw (of read) the person (white on a black background) on the back, you are attracted by it.
The sky has not much structure, but I like is as it is. It softens the picture and you can concentrate on the subject (boat) and not on the clouds.

39 Dec 25 Comment Also a nice format, quite panoramic that works well here. All the information (head and helmets, different cars, ....) is in the picture.
The B&W works well to focus on the eyes of the first pilot and as Elliott Erwitt said "we are n to disturbed" by the colors. Goor choice.

39 Dec 25 Comment The strength of simplicity. I like and agree with the comment of Tom. But you have to reach to have a beautiful picture with the simplicity, and you did it.
I like the light to guide our eyes to the center. The texture is excellent.

39 Dec 25 Comment Thanks for the story David. With such tickets you "had to go" to game. I am sure it was worth going there for the game, and it was also worth for the picture, specially after such processing.
We can see the scene and imagine the conditions.

39 Dec 25 Comment I made a mistake. I ask to David to change if possible.
The correct picture te be analyzed is the one with a dark (black) sky. The one with a white sky is an alternative. The original one is the blue sky.
Sorry and thanks to all.

75 Dec 25 Comment Positive points: sharpness, colors, composition, water drops, background.
Negative point: none...
Job well done.

75 Dec 25 Comment I agree with both comments.
We have to concentrate on the center.
Are you sure of your settings, "only" ISO 1000 to have f/16 & 1/800. Just a technical question...

75 Dec 25 Comment The rules, that exit to be fought, suggest to have an odd number of main elements can be useful ins this case as the two flowers could be alone on different pictures. There are sharped enough and are both interesting.
The original one is a beautiful scene. The flowers look like puppets...

75 Dec 25 Comment Beautiful pictures of different flowers with a lot of colors. Nature is beautiful.
The 3 poppies on a strong point of the picture is well done. It catches the eyes.
