39 Oct 25 Comment You like the challenge Paul...
Not easy to increase the texture and contrast.
At first look I wonder if to crop the image to keep the center and half of the petals (portrait format) could bring a nice effect? A way to circumvent the difficulties of light and contrast. Just a personal suggestion.

39 Oct 25 Comment I like the B&W conversion, and the subject (that calls a B&W version)
With or without people, it is your choice. Both can be interesting.
One of the difficulties with such image is the vertical lines. The wall on the right could (maybe) be a little straightened, without modifying the left one...

39 Oct 25 Comment Very nice composition. Well done Paul. Without the fisherman or the boat, there is no more picture.
I like the waves and the cloudy sky, with an interesting shade of grey.

39 Oct 25 Comment This picture, the dream for a photographer ...
Just great.
I like the picture so, with the highlight, it's livelier, but less dramatic (if it is has more contrast). Your choice.
Well done to crop on the left.
Such picture "has to be printed" in large dimensions if you have place...

39 Oct 25 Comment Indeed nice conversion in B&W.
You yellow (white) clover immediately attract my attention, then the butterfly. So as my gaze is to the right, I am not disturbed by the oof flower on the left. All opinions are possible...
The background is also well processed (not to much present).

39 Oct 25 Comment Really like this kind of pictures. Majestic.
Indeed the composition is great. The light is exceptional, and the structure of the wall, the stairs and the ceiling.
The only thing that disturbs me is the flat wall on the left. We can see it also on the right (under the stairs). It is certainly the real structure. On the left it is maybe possible to replace it by the structure of the stairwell. Just a suggestion.

75 Oct 25 Comment The level of pictures of roses is high this month, and specially this one...
Creative composition and great realization.
Maybe a little do dark, but it is your choice.

75 Oct 25 Comment The idea of composition is lovely (position of petals, water drops), but I think there is some problem for the realization. Lack of sharpness.
The background is also too present.

75 Oct 25 Comment Nice composition John. I like the 2 yellow one that catch the eye. There are also on streng points and made a diagonal between them.
Beautiful colors.

75 Oct 25 Comment Another presentations of roses, almost a bouquet....
At first sight, I saw four roses, but there are 5. I like the big 3 yellow, but the 2 tother bring something less classic at the picture.
Nice composition (background and format).

75 Oct 25 Reply Thanks Murphy and Mo.
I was too cautions with the advice received (not completely darken the background )... I agree it could be more darkened in this case.
