Thanks Stephen.
I like your proposition, and as you said, adjusting the perspective, but not entirely. |

Welcome to the group Paul.
Ten persons at the same place, at the same moment will produce 10 different pictures.
Even if the see a picture with a "Z" view, I think there is too much place at the bottom. I like Fran's suggestion. I think the reflection of the gondola has to be kept. |

Even if the subjects are the old tree and the almond tree, I find the road has its place. It guides the reader to the old tree. For this reason I like the original composition as the road is more present. The applied treatment is very nice in the final version. |

Every suggestion is interesting, even the color version, where I think it is easier to read..., but the B&W is stronger (more texture and contrast).
Even if the subject is the chairs, I like the triangular composition of the chairs and two stones. |

I agree with your tendency to analyse the picture before reading the narrative. I even would add before reading the comments.
It's a good theoretical approach that I unfortunately don't always apply ...

Good work Fran. I like it.
It would have been possible to have 2 beautiful pictures. One in portrait with the 2 streetlights but with more space on the right, and you beautiful square format in B&W, very well done.
With the tree on the right, a little bit more space around all the trees could have been interesting, with your composition, it is maybe interesting to remove the tree on the right. |

I like your version David, even if the suggestions of Paul are nice.
Your version is well sharp. The electrical wires are part of the city life. The treen is part of the composition, it avoids a classic one. The crop works well as it allows to better see all the elements. |

As usual, great Mo. I was worth trying different times.
The star field brings a lot (I really appreciate it).
Nice colors, not too flashy.
I also agree with the comment of ray about the top and the leave at 10 o'clock, and you also agree... |

Both images are great. The orignal is a very beautiful landscape, and the B&W is a very beautiful "minimalist" one.
Good contrast. Nothing is burnt, which can be difficult with all this white. The snow in the wind is maybe less natural in the B&W version. |

Good and complete analysis from Ray. Thanks.
I like the water droplets, I think it brings a lot, but it is quite difficult to avoid reflection. Unfortunately there are not on more leaves.
I like the composition and the format gives the impression of a dynamic opening of the petals, what a square foam would not have given, event with the symmetry.
Good idea of the white border. |

Nice picture with color and light. Interesting comments to learn. Always useful to have other views and analysis.
Indeed in this situation, different combinaison of aperture allow the maker to choose.
I agree the out of focus leaves didn't add anything. In this case, as you have a circle with the leaves, why not to try a square format ? Just a suggestion.

Great picture. I like the composition and the color.
Indeed the leaf (bottom right corner) could be removed.
Amazon, the centre of gravity of Nature and Life, is an unforgettable trip. Amazon is "synonym" of S. Salgado. We have the pleasure to have an exposition of him (Amazonia) next month in Brussels... A great honor. |

Thanks Alison & Murphy for your comments and analysis. I tried to darken the background... completely dark doesn't work. |
