A great picture of a great place to be.
The B&W works better (tones, contrast and indeed we better see the boats).
What about a crop on the left and the bottom to better see the Mt. Moran. Just a suggestion.
I have benn there in 2019. Will never forget it.
Different way of life between USA and Belgium. 6 hrs drive and you often go there. 6 hours drive in Belgium, this is once every 3 years...
Happy holidays Ken. |

Very soft image that I prefer icw the original.
Good composition. His attitude is great and focuses our eyes on his face. His face makes the story of the image.
I would even try to crop more on the face.
Happy holidays Kathryn. |

I like this kind of pictures.
I also prefer your tones. More appropriate for these picture (more contrast to emphasize the structure, the life of the place).
With such picture I immediately look at the symmetry. In this cas you are little bit too much of the left, and your camera should have been parallel with the stairs and the floor beams. Just my opinion.
Happy holidays Paul. |

I think there is more details in the color version which is also more appropriated for this kind of picture.
The background is more uniform in B&W.
Happy holidays Jerry. |

You can do a lot of different pictures with this one (Color, B&W, portrait or not, ...) and all these pictures would be nice and have a different message.
I like the "landscape" one, we see more about the women and her way of life. The off-center composition is necessary and well done.
I agree with the opinion of Ken about the color version. The B&W version is adapted for the portrait.
Happy holidays to you Fran. |

I was happy to see of portrait of a person like us. Very good idea and really well done (composition, the smile is natural, I really like it).
Thank you for the consideration about the eyes. I had already noticed that without being aware of it. The idea to flip the image is just great.
The new opportunities of LR (mask and people) are just fantastic. I noticed you used it before reading your text. I think, personally, the the teeth have been too much processed (too withe and I think you decreased the clarity (a little too much)).
Really nice portrait.
Happy holidays to you David. |

I like the structure, the composition and the colors.
When looking the picture to analyze it I was attract by a king discontinuity on the right, and also on the top with also some green color. Already mentioned by Ray. |

Almost (I don't know why "almost") the definition of the perfect picture: Sharpness, light, elegance and class, colors and the "simplicity" of the background that is part of the colors (there pros and cons) without being to present. Same opinion about the border.
It is a soft image with a lot of (above mentioned) qualities. Great Ray. |

Original picture with this (unknown for me....) lens.
I agree with Murphy for the sharpness of the leaf and the stem.
I think there are some disturbing element on the left side? |

f/16, better DoF than in my picture at f/8... Good job Murphy.
I really like the composition (ok the small lack of place on the left), the flowers, the colors and the DoF...
Good idea to darken the background to avoid distracting element. It also allows to better see the flowers and it colors.
