I like your composition, not completely in front of the locomotive. The rails conduct the eyes to the loco, even if it not necessary as the loco, the smoke & the steam are sufficiently present. There is some available place on the right, as mentioned by Lary, but it is for the smoke.
The vertical with the pylon, the loco and the smoke, and the crane is well done. |

Thanks Larry for your comment.
"The beauty is maybe what we don't see but can imagine". One of the objective was not to see her dress. She was well dressed with a dress, but with bald shoulders... |

I agree with the comment of David, except for the "preferred" version. With the crop and the treatment they are 2 different images. I like the N&B version, as the thistles are the only subject (in the color version, the mountains are also an important subject).
I have the impression they don't want to look at you. |

Very beautiful sky (clouds and texture).
I (personally) think the right part of the image (barge) is a lit bit to dark.
The foreground is not too important? Less foreground and much sky would have been another picture, but is would have been possible to better see the barges.
The texture around the barge are very interesting to describe the place. |

Good composition, and you reached your objectives of the car in the sharp focus (very well done), wheels in motion, ...
The choice of the boarder is adequate.
I am only a little disturbed by the fence in the background, specially in the center. It is in an out of focus zone, still present as it brings vertical parts. |
