Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
39 Jun 21 Comment It was easier (for me) to understand the image after having looked the color version.
With a ball, a square format can be interesting for the symmetry (just my opinion).
The flowers around the ball are well sharped, but increase the time needed to understand the picture.

39 Jun 21 Comment I was immediately impressed by the great tonality. The treatment and the format are well chosen.
There is a difference of light on the top (roof) of the car, between the left and right side. It can disturb or it brings a gradient of light from the left to the right. I would choose the second proposition.

39 Jun 21 Comment Thanks for the story of the image and for the rule which is applicable in a lots of situation of the life.
I would also suggest to reduce the dark zone of the right and the left, without reaching necessary the square format, so you can keep the eyes more "in" the picture.
I said sometimes ago, it will be possible to take video at 4K and to extract the picture we want. Here is a good example. What is important? The result, the picture. How to reach it, there is the work of the maker. This is an evolution and you use it. Well done.

39 Jun 21 Comment Difficult to add new comment, except my opinion, event if it is already written.
Very good job. Indeed the B&W version is, personally "much better", it is also post treated.
At first sight we can image different possibilities as subject, but now, with our experience of your pictures of sand and dunes, I said "another incredible picture of dunes".
The square format is also a good choice. The pattern at the bottom are sharped.

39 Jun 21 Comment You reach your objective, to have the picture you want. How: you wake up early and you use the number of frames per second, and on good place. Job well done.
The inscription on the panel makes also the image "great". You 'lose" the natural environment (for a contest for instance), but you obtain a great moment (panel and birds). The applied post treatment is a good choice, as the colors were not enough present.

39 Jun 21 Reply Thanks for your comment Paul.
It was taken without tripod (hand held).
Speed was enough, but there is a mistake (shame on me) on the aperture. We should read f/11 and not f/1 (no such objectives...)
