I will try him on a neutral background, and also use the same background that I have but enlarge it so that it looks more natural.
Thanks |

Thanks for your kind words.
I "sort of" asked for a pose. He was in Mexico in a market place. I jus moved the words to him "may I take your picture" and gestured with my camera. So, he sort of posed. |

I also have pictures of the wild horses in that national park. Contrast I feel is great between the moving, muddy water and the stillness of it in the back. The placement of the horse with room on the right for it to continue walking is good composition. It helps that the dark horse has white spots and a white face to give contrast. Well done. |

The sharpness of the bug and it's dots as well as the lichen is great. Vignetting it the way you did brings the eye right to the center of interest. I believe the texture of the lines in the log nicely complement the sharp of the round bug and the frilly lichen. Well done. |

Beautiful. The sky shows it might have just rained, and the lovely green of the grass confirms it. The foliage on the right and the trees on the left give the buildings a nice frame. The fence post gate leads my eye right to the buildings. |

I like the presentation of this bird. The ripples in the water and the wavy reflection is very real. The colors of the birds' beak and legs are complementary with the blue of the water. The eye is sharp, and the beak open with the insect in it proves that you captured it at just the right time.
You might have removed some of the weeds on the left side and above the bird to make it even more exciting. |

I like the bird's position with wings upraised. I feel that the bird is sharp and has good contrast.
The background in my opinion is too much and it is distracting. If you had selected the bird and then blurred, and desaturated or darkened, the background it would bring the eye to the bird. |

Thanks. You mean, did I choose to make him look like the Mona Lisa? No, I didn't, but I love all the impressionistic painters, so maybe it is just ingrained in me and therefore this look was what I chose. Really, an accident. |
