Denise, a lovely flower captured with excellent detail and depth. The circular plates add some really nice interest.
If this were my photo, I would darken the background a lot or blur it, so as to reduce the texture. Also I would adjust the plate colors so they match the flower colors -- so make the red plate a litle more lilac and the gold plate a little more light yellow. |

Linda, what a fabulous phone capture of this lovely, peaceful, morning scene. I think the original would look great on a wall.
I like your addition of the birds, but because the bird background is blue, the scene, especially in the highlights, is now greenish. Instead of using a blend mode, maybe you could try to select / extract the birds from their background and then add this as a layer. |

Hi Michael, I think this is a lovely ,long exposure photo -- well captured and good processing. I especially like the texture you brought out in the rocks and the simple frame you added.
The detail that was present in your original sky seems to have disappeared, so the top third is too simple, IMHO. Therefore, to see how the sky might look, I tried a LR gradient adjustment / mask on the original to add some clarity and texture. One could then blur this enhanced sky a little in PS... |

Mary, you've definitely taken an image that I might have deleted and turned it into a fond memory. Your processing has made it into a the image FUN! and brought out the story. I would like to see the subject's face with more contrast to help with the emphasis, and perhaps a white vignette on the edges..
Here's a version... |

This is a lovely, relaxing scene that would work well on a wall. I like the added geese in the fog.
I do think it could be worked a bit more. More texture of course is an option, but likely not consistent with the mood. So, I tried a Color Look-up adjustment layer.
This is the PS Candlelight.CUBE 3DLUT file, applied at 50% opacity. |
