I love this -- both the thought and the processing!
Indeed I want to also say a BIG thank you, Barbara |

Great to get both the reflection and the fish in the photo. I love your idea here, and your result in B&W is well done. Like Linda, I would like to see more detail in the forward koi face, either next time you head back there, or perhaps take it from original 2?

This is definitely a step out, and a fun image. I like what you've done, and can see this image large on a wall as a way to enjoy all that detail. Still, I'm wondering if you might try taking the resulting image a bit farther. Linda's image is a great example of one way to do this with a "multiple exposure". I tried a different approach -- adding some color. Here I added two adjustment layers in the color burn blend mode in PS. One was a circularly masked red color fill layer and the other was a masked (red-blue) gradient fill adjustment layer. Just intended as an example of a next step option.

Mary, I love this experiment of yours and especially the wonderful colors. The image looks sort of hazy to me, so I tried a levels adj. in PS to dehaze. Then I thought why not try making it a bit more graphic, so I added a couple of lines…

Looks like a lovely area to wander and find photos. I like the way you've processed the tree and the rocks. In my opinion, I feel that there's too much stuff in the photo. The overlap of the tree bottom with the rocks behind, and all the foreground make my eye spin looking for a place to rest. As you note, the trees the subject, but its base is camouflaged. Perhaps you could try cropping some from the bottom, expanding the canvas with content-aware fill on both sides to give some more breathing space for the tree... A photo taken from ground level looking up might have put this interesting newly-leafed tree more front and center. |

Yes an even longer stem! And I like your suggestion, A love letter would be nice, but I only had these musical bits. |

Linda, this is a wonderful photo, to me evoking the quiet joys of youth. I love the way you've handled the processing. The girl's hair color and the other colors are super, as is the fact that she's running with a flower in her hand. One little nit-pick is that the bluebells at the bottom of her dress draw my eye; they are nicely sharp but, in my opinion, they could be de-saturated a tad. |
