I really love the way the gas pipes form a nice frame for the whole door/door/window unit. Great content for this month. My only suggestions are very minor, but I would have removed the video camera and the reflection of the fluorescent lights in the top right window pane using some of the tools in Lightroom. I tried playing around with the beta version of PS in order to see if generative fill would complete the bicycle tires. I finally got it to work but it didn't add much to the photo. It was a good test for generative fill which I'm sure we will start using more and more in the future. |

I find the juxtaposition of the two doors being perpendicular to be very interesting. Since the right side of the external wall appears to be painted and the left side appears to not to have been painted lately, it makes one wonder if the two doors go to two different residences. No matter what, these are two interesting doors with a lot of history behind them. |

Great selection of subject and I love the addition of the mossy staircase that leads you to the door. If you stare at the wood patterns in the door for too long, it can be quite mesmerizing. |

This is a very interesting subject. If the description had not mentioned that the door was old and not often seen today, I might have missed the unique structure of the door. I don't understand the mechanism so I tried Google Images to see if I could find something similar, but with no success. I've magnified the image and it looks like the rods slide to the right and can be inserted into holes in the doorframe. In this image only the top two rods are inserted into the right doorframe. I can only assume that once all the rods are slid to the left, the frame will swing open to allow one to unlock the real door. Nice selection of the subject. |

I find it interesting that the paint for the sign didn't wash away with the paint beneath it. The letters appear to be sitting on top of rusted metal. Good composition of the sign against an almost abstract background of rust and paint. |

Great image of a door that is very well framed by a series of archways. The size of the doors compared to the size of the entryway helps make a human feel small. I guess that was the point! |
