unfortunately I drove by the building a couple of weeks after taking the photo and For Sale signs have gone up. So I don't think the owner could raise the money for the renovation |

That looks very old and it looks as if the bricks in the chimney had to be replaced from time to time. The composition nicely highlights the age and wear and tear of the furnace. And of course the small weed under the door is a nice touch. I'm glad you didn't pull it out. |

My drum teacher yesterday told me that he is amazed that he has never killed anyone (his name is Machete Eddy) but the thought of being locked away in prison always brings him to his senses. I wasn't sure if he was kidding or not but I wasn't going to push it. A closed prison door brings a lot of thoughts to mind, none of which are good. I know you don't like to make corrections, but I think it would help to remove the perspective distortion using the transform tool in Photoshop to allow the viewer to only focus on the repetitive patterns. |

Great depiction of closed and it leaves me wanting to see the open flower. It also makes me wonder what the biochemical process is that causes the leaves to move to the open position. |

Great image for monochrome treatment. Very nice composition and I love that it leaves the view with the question of what is the man reading. A seat of serenity surrounded by the chaos of the city. |

The church is closed but the spirits are free to roam. A good representation of "closed" and the cropping allows you to concentrate on the sense of "closed". My only suggestion would be is that if you have Photoshop I would use the transform tool to eliminate the perspective distortion and line up the sides of the building to be perpendicular to the ground. |

It may be closed but it looks like they raked the sand. That's a funny thing to do if you close a beach. But at least you can tell by the lack of footprints that nobody has violated the closure. A panoramic view was the perfect approach in order to capture the magnitude of the area and the large empty beach. |
