13 Sep 23 Comment This is a really nice sunflower image. It was a great idea to choose an angle so that the in-focus flower has a green background so that the flower is completely surrounded by a good color contrast. The composition of the out of focus flowers is also nicely picked and gives a nice color contrast from the top of the image to the bottom.

13 Sep 23 Comment Wonderful use of selective focus to draw our attention to one part of a flower. The white flower creates a great backdrop with the bokeh that your selective focus has created. And the rest of the background is blurred enough not to interfere with the flower image. Sep 11th
13 Sep 23 Comment I think using selective focus for the bus was a great way to differentiate this image as something more than a photo of a model city. The selective focus makes me move my eyes around the image and concentrate on things that are in focus and think about the people about to get on the bus as well as imagining what the people are doing in the market stalls. It flattens the city-scape in an interesting way. Sep 11th
13 Sep 23 Comment For the last few nights, when my wife and I sit out on the deck at the end of the day, a hummingbird has suddenly showed up to look at us at face level and then flies away. Even our dog, who will bark at anything, seems to enjoy the visit. But I've never tried to photograph the hummingbirds that live around me and your beautiful image is certainly an inspiration. The selective focus of the bird's head looking at the flowers captures the essence of their existence. The background is perfect to highlight the bird and the flowers add some nice color contrast. Good job. Sep 11th
13 Sep 23 Comment This is a very good example of selective focus. I love how much texture there is on the surface of the olives and that the leaves are in focus for the subject branch. The background is both abstract and easy to identify as part of the olive tree. Do you press your olives? Sep 11th
13 Sep 23 Comment This is a really great image and perhaps your best one ever. The composition is very good and the use of selective focus really makes the tour leader pop. And the sepia filter is perfect. Sep 11th
