13 Jul 23 Comment This is a good composition of orchids with the flowers forming a nice diagonal from bottom left to upper right. This use of a narrow depth of field helps us focus on flowers that are at the forefront. Good job on the flower assignment. Jul 7th
13 Jul 23 Comment That is a great background with the blues doing such an effective job of making the day-lilies pop. I lost almost all of my hydrangeas last winter to a bitter cold snap and so in someways I find this image sad but I know that is just me and now I can hope that next spring the few survivors will bloom once again. 13 Jul 23 Comment As usual you have used a unique technique to provide us with a different view of flowers. The effect might be something similar to some of Picasso's work where he showed multiple views of someone or something from the same vantage point. Very nice and creative. Jul 7th
13 Jul 23 Comment A nice composition with the curved, interlacing flowerbeds providing an effective way of enjoying the beautiful tulips. The grass paths serve to lead your eyes around the image to see the clusters of different colored tulips. I love that you used Photoshop to remove the annoying tourists. The latest tools really want me to go back through my whole catalog to see what I can salvage from the past. Good job. Jul 7th
13 Jul 23 Comment Great use of background composition and depth of field. The gravestones and ivy set the mood and the depth of field focuses our attention on the subject. Good job. Jul 7th
13 Jul 23 Comment Great selection of depth of field as details are sharp front to back. Good composition with the stem lying along one diagonal and a line drawn through the centers of the petals creates the other diagonal. Interesting lighting that allows the shadow areas in the center to do a good job of defining the shape. The encompassing petals end up making it a story about the leaves, stamen and stem. Very nice.
