13 Aug 22 Comment I worked for a Japanese company for 35 years and the addition of the word "complicated" in the title of the image is so very correct. This is a great composition and perfect depth of field to highlight the subjects. I'm glad you resisted temptation and didn't crank up the color contrast (which I probably would have done) in post processing because the colors as captured are true to the sense of subtlety that defines the culture. 13 Aug 22 Comment I had to look up what "panto" meant so I learned something new this month. This is a nice colorful image and it makes me glad that COVID is pretty much behind us. The fact that you photographed something unique to your culture means to me that you nailed the assignment. Aug 26th
13 Aug 22 Comment Interesting. I love submissions that teach me something. I didn't know what an Alebrije was. I've also always wanted to see the effect of a lensbaby and now I've seen it. It seems to be much more effective than just using a shallow depth of field. Aug 26th
