Now that is a mean looking snake. I love the composition of his/her mouth open, chin on a stick and framed by blades of grass. And great depth of field. |

When I lived near the coast of Texas I would often go photograph alligators in the wildlife refuges. I was always by myself and the alligators have absolutely no fear of people. As I would walk through the brush along the waterways, I was always mindful that one might be hiding in wait. Your photograph really brings back memories. I love the color of the water and the way the alligator is so well camouflaged. And of course his eyes are always watching you. |

Great composition and very interesting frog. It is hard to take your eyes off his/her eyes. It probably has almost 360 degrees of vision which I guess is helpful for catching bugs. The muted wood is a perfect contrast to the colorful frog. |

I'm not a big fan of snakes, but I kind of like that one. It is a really cool composition. The colors of the leaves go well with the colors of the snake and the rocks form an interesting background and reminds me not to stick my hand into rocks without knowing what is there. Perfect eye sharpness. |
