Very nice. It is too bad you don't know who the focussed rider is as I am sure he would love to have that photo. In my opinion you did a very effective job of panning the lead rider at the proper speed. As you can tell from the blurred horizontal lines, the camera moved quite a bit while the shutter was open and you did a good job of timing your pan with his motion. |

Great job - very creative and absolutely beautiful in my opinion. We are having tornados now where I live and the tree reminds me somewhat of a funnel cloud. It makes me feel bad that I only took a photo of a stupid Canada goose swimming in the water! |

all good suggestions. I didn't think about removing the black lines because I was more drawn to the abstract nature of the background than to the stupid goose who is very annoying. The black lines weren't a reflection of something, It was just the time of day and how the light was reflecting on the water. I now see what you mean about the distraction aspect. |

I have always found photographs butterflies and moths to be insanely hard to photograph. I think you have done a great job capturing the motion of the insect and using a beautiful flower as a backdrop. Who wouldn't be attracted to that flower? I really like your use of depth of field to keep all the non-moving parts in focus. I think the black background is very effective in framing the events taking place. |

I think this image is completely about motion with the only thing stationary being the submerged rock. I also get a sense of fear along with motion as it looks like some water I wouldn't want to fall into. I like the way the white water comes across at a slight diagonal and "pinches" the rock. I also like the way the blue-green water forms a nice background and for some reason, looks really cold. |

I think this is a clever approach to the assignment and definitely captures the sense of motion through more than half the image without taking away from the subject. I love the diagonal composition. |
