The sign is about 30 miles from where I grew up. I can remember seeing it 50 years ago. A couple of years ago I moved back to the same area and thought it was interesting that the sign still exists. I have asked some people who live nearby and I have not been able to find out the history of the sign. You might think it is associated with some sort of church but it seems to sit on the property of an old house with many abandoned vehicles and boats. |

you are probably right, but I was trying to make sure that there was evidence that it fit the monthly criterion of being a road sign - thus the road! |

The wide angle lens and the low viewpoint make for a good composition. Picking up part of the landscape and sky gives one a good idea of what to expect on the road ahead. |

I love the clouds behind the sign. The only thing I might have done differently would have been to use the dehaze function in Lightroom to make the clouds pop a bit more. |

I noticed the Katakana characters in the sign. Was this taken in Japan? Good angular lines in the photo. |

It is noteworthy that there are not any bullet holes in the sign. Something common where I live. The message is clear. |

Nice composition with the building in the background. Too bad you still have snow. |
