I remember that from biology, but when I think about it in the sense of evolution it kind of blows my mind. The pattern on the wing of something that looks like a predator's eye would take a gazillion generations to evolve to.

I love the texture which looks more like a fabric than what I would have expected from a moth wing. What is really amazing it to think about how a moth wing evolved over time to produce the circular color patterns on the wings. |
