If we were all shooting with film, I can see the point of "straight from the camera" in terms of exposure. But with digital cameras, the internal processing is different with each camera and as well as the mode of setting the exposure. I increased the exposure 1 ev in the submitted photo. If I had had the presence of mind to bracket exposure I could have submitted one of those photos and it would be considered "straight from the camera". Since I always shoot in raw, it is easier to do it after the fact and there is no difference between a "straight from the camera" image in which the exposure compensation was increased and a "post processed" image in which the same exposure compensation was applied after the fact. If this was to really be an exercise in "straight from the camera", you should have specified raw images only - any image that came out of the camera as a jpg should properly be specified "processed by the camera's firmware". I am uploading the original photo. |

Nice shot. The dark unfocussed spot in the upper right corner might make a case for a little post processing and perhaps cropping the leave out of the left side. |

Barbara- Yesterday I bought two more bags of bird seed and left them outside my garden shed. This morning the squirrels had discovered my mistake and torn a hole in one bag and helped themselves to the seed. Today I imagine there are some squirrels with big stomachs sleeping up in the trees. |

I like the juxtaposition of the lines of the taxi and the lines of the building. |
