Guy from group 26. I love this picture. In your original picture I love the contrast of the newer typewriters on the shelves to the right to the old battered one that he is working on. The black and white one that Stephen posted is great but does not bring out the contrast that I spoke of above which I feel adds much to the picture. You provide a great story here. |

What I like about this picture is how the colors are layered in such a manner that they add to the depth of the picture and how they all point to a focus point. I would enjoy having this hanging on my wall.

The Black and white makes for an interesting a foreboding picture. In the color one, the tree and the opening between it and the building seems to contribute to the composition of the picture. However, in the black and white I find it distracting and would consider cropping it out so the edge of the picture is at the edge of the building. The black and white makes for two very different picture of the same scene with both having a different emotional impact. |

I've had a hard time deciding about this picture. When I first saw it I did not care for it and it did not make a positive impact on me. However, the more I view it the more appealing it becomes to me. I am not sure why but I suspect that I have overcome my negative reaction to the blur especially that of the right side of the building. Reading your description of the circumstances under which the photo was taken helped. I do like the saturated colors and the composition is great. |

I love the symmetry of this picture and there are so many leading lines that one can not help but being drawn into the picture. I like the contrast between the man sitting on the left side of the picture and the really small individual at the end of the walkway. It really emphasizes the vastness of the area. A well done picture. |

Personally I like the second original. However, in the picture you processed I like the grittiness of the picture and especially on the rocks. One of the things that I like about the second original is how the light seems to draw you from the bottom to the top and I find this is missing in the processed picture. I agree with Jose about the lack of interest in the sky in the black and white picture. The black and white seems to put more emphasis into making you feel the heaviness of the rocks and the formation. |
